Congratulate me, I’m still doing my daily doodling practice, yay! I think it helps that I’m not too precious about what I doodle here — most of the time I don’t even know what I’m doing until I’m actually doing it, and even then, I still don’t know how it will end up or what it will end up being. If I’m unhappy with it, kiber, done is better than perfect. And the only goal is to draw something. It doesn’t even have to be good — I just have to keep drawing within the margined A5 Midori square, using the materials I have in front of me at that moment.
Being able to play around is the whole point of this practice — and it is a practice, in all respects. I’ve been trying things out and not all of them work, but it’s still satisfying to actually finish something. What’s important is to keep that pen/pencil moving, every single day. It’s too cliche but yes, the more I draw, the less intimidating a blank page becomes.
I still haven’t done much journaling though, but my ring planner catch-all has snippets of my thoughts in it, which is all I can summon these days, and for which I’m still grateful.
So here are my doodles from 11 - 20 October. The first part is here.
